A global structural analysis was carried out successfully on a ship hull of length 68.00 M long and 15.40 M beam. The aim was to analyse the stresses and displacement experienced by the hull structure under static and dynamic conditions of loading. The regions of high stress and strain on the hull structure was identified and the first four natural frequencies and mode shapes were calculated using Ansys. At Conceptia we have a process for modelling and simulation of large ship structures. Both static and dynamic analysis (time and frequency domain) is possible. Fatigue life estimation including damage estimate is possible.
